If you are in Texas today...

1. Please go VOTE (and Caucus) in your parties primary!

2. Put the kids in bed early tonight and feed them a great breakfast in the morning because TOMORROW is the first part of the TAKS test.

3. Carry a tank top and a heavy coat in your car at all times because the weather is crazy! Freezing cold one day, burning up the next.

4. Check out the March issue of Texas Monthly. The cover story is one that I have discussed a few times on this blog in the last two years. Also there is a "review' of Oak Hills Church where Max Lucado preaches. And if you live in Houston...be glad your DA finally resigned. Wow! That guy has issues!

5. Have a great day! :)

In all my life I have never voted against a candidate until today. It's a strategic move that could back fire. Please let McCain win Texas cause I just gave my vote to Hillary. I think McCain has a chance agaist Hillary but Obama has a rock star quality and not enough record for people to know if he is someone they DO NOT LIKE. He would be hard to beat.

William Martin, the guy who wrote the piece about Oak Hills, is an ACU grad and was my dad's roommate there. I love reading his stuff.

Vote. That's all I'm gonna say here. I don't think who you vote for or even why you vote for them is as important as letting your voice be heard.

DN I wondered what his backgrond was as he alluded to C of C roots. Great review I thought.

As for that cover article... I think TM did a decent job of staying in the middle. Having known this woman and her children, I do not have that luxury. I never realized how much real pain is packed between the lines of these "sensational" murder stories until now. No matter what, it is all just so very sad. I am putting my trust in God to work this out because at this point I do not think man can.

We voted yesterday and went back last night to the caucus. It was quite exciting here in the Austin area. Lots of people! I agree with you, voting is a priviledge.

I took Mary Beth with me to vote yesterday, and she kept saying, "Why don't we have our fishing rod?" I guess she would have rather been going to "boat"!

Stephanie....did you watch 20/20 last night?

I most certainly did! And I was so glad it came out how it did... Loved the happy pictures of her with her girls. I have a great picture of her from the teacher lunch thing in November but it is currently stuck on my old computer.

I could have done without the pictures of her dead. That was too much. Rob said it only bugs us because we knew her. I don't know. I think it would have bugged me anyway. But I think they did a great job! I thought of at least 2 or three more lies they could have caught him in if they had read prior interviews. Oh he was so TAGGED!

Hoping the DA will get the gumption to go ahead with all this!

Yup. Even though 20/20 spent A LOT more time with Matt and his family (because Linda and her family were leery of them for the longest time until Avila really worked with her and gave her some assurances), it backfired on him once again. EVERY time that man does an interview or show, it makes him look worse. I really do wonder about the intentions of his attorney. How can he be that stupid? and that successful? Either way, keep him talking. I know we're all antsy for the DA to roll with this and get it to trial. But what a blessing it has been to have him free and blabbering for 6 months now. Look at all the lies and inconsistancies he's given the public. I can't wait for trial. Everyone keep praying.
