What did you do today?

I made a cake.

Tonight we're having a small shower for my cousin and I wanted to make the cake. It was not too hard to make and gave me the excuse to stay home today. I relish days where I am home all day...They seem so rare! I'm looking forward to some good girl time tonight.

Sorry I have been off line lately. I'm almost over that virus/sinus/throat stuff I have had. (This would be day 9 if you are keeping track.) It's nice to be able to recognize my own voice again. :)

Busy Busy Busy! That is all we seem to be these days.

So how was your day?

I sent four teenagers to the principals office... but if we'd just had a cake to share I'm sure it could have turned out differently.

Worked, shopped, packed, banked, visited, blogged, ate, slept, worked-out, sweated, washed clothes and fed the dogs.

I like your cake too!

I had a pretty good couple of days - I finally let go of a lot of past hurts & started forgiving people. Yeah...I'd say it was a good day!

Darling!! You are very talented, SG. The school decorations were over the top, too! Wish I could hire you.

That is an incredible cake--I have said this before but you must definitely have the gift of hospitality!

BTW, if you are counting at least 10 of us keep track! (I bet you would be surprised who looks and never comments, too!)

O no--I misread--you said you had been without a voice for 9 days--I really can read, really!

Glad you are feeling better, too!

OK DJG you are one busy woman! Thanks for all the cake compliments. I am blushing! You guys are such a great cheering section.
And JB you are right about the commentors.(even though that it was an accidental comment)
I read 13 or 14 blogs a day usually and rarely comment, just because I'm usually trying to read fast and just get caught up. A while back I had more visits on the "Live" post about Kyle Lake than I have ever had since I got the site meter last March, but not one comment. Maybe some posts just leave people speechless? :) Anyway, I love the comments I do get!

Here's another one - and I echo the cheers for the cake! And about your talents with the lunch and all, very cute!

So glad you found your books - we are really enjoying reading them together. I think I'll hang on to the set in case one of my girls would like to have them someday. :)
